I’m a Florida girl by way of Kansas and Texas. I’ve got a husband and two cats, a very small business, and no legitimate complaints in life. These posts will not likely read with literary significance or Pulitzer Prize winning content, but as an individual with a thousand different interests I can promise the occasional tangent. My goal is to create a small corner of the internet, a respite if you will, that focuses on as much beauty as possible in this sometimes not so beautiful world. My wish is to fill this corner with gorgeous photos, crazy and simple adventures, little indulgences like food and drink, and lots of scuba.
A childhood in Kansas didn’t exactly allow for a ton of exposure to water activities, but luckily, my father shared with me The Undersea World of Jacques Cousteau and his other work whenever they came on the tube. We also watched British comedies, WWF wrestling, and Doctor Who, which I believe gave me a very well rounded sense of humor, but nothing has kept the childlike wonder in me more than The Undersea World. I’ll admit many of those films and tv shows I haven’t seen in decades, but the importance of Jacques Cousteau’s work and the desire to see and experience those things for myself, grew deep roots. I am not a marine biologist, scientist, or anyone with notable ties to huge conservation efforts. What I am is an ordinary gal, a recreational diver with a solid love of our irreplaceable waters. An everyday flawed human experiencing life, finding her way, and hoping to help in some small way. I am lucky to have a spouse and partner that loves this amazing world as much as I do. I am forever grateful to others who’ve shared their experiences of the seas with me so that I might continue to explore, learn, and most importantly…care. I simply want to share our experiences with those who might have an interest.
